Thirteenth Amendment Ratified
Ended slavery. All black slaves were set free. -
fourteenth Amendment Ratified
It gave citizenship to all who were born slaves in the U.S. it included most slaves that were in the civil war. The south rejected it. -
Henry McNeal Turner elected to Senate
He was a minister, polotician ata the African Methodist Episcopal Church. After the Civil War he became active with the republican party. He was elected as a part of the Georgia Legeslature in 1868.Then he began as a senator. McNeal was also an African Amercican. -
Fifteenth Amendment Ratified
It said that all black men had the right to vote. That could not be denied because Congress had the power to enforce this with the right lesgeslation. -
Georgia readmitted to the Union
Georgia was readmitted to theUnion in 1870. They got kicked out the first time because they refused to accept the fifteenth amendment in 1868. -
Election of Rutherford B. Hayes
Hayes was Elected as president of the United States in 1876. He was born in Delaware Ohio. He served in the US congress. Hayes was also the govornor of Ohio. He was the 19th president.
