    The Drug Free Workplace Act requires all federal organizations and all federal contracting companies who are payed over $100,00 to drug test all employees.

    Americans with Disabilities Act
    Much like the first Civil Rights Act did for discrimination based upon race and gender, the Americans with Disabilities Act protects disabled people from discrimination. It also made it required to have disabled accesable buildings and public transportation.

    The Civil Rights Act of 1991 strengthened protection against discrimination in the work place related to "race, color, religion, sex, or national origin". A similar bill was vetoed by President Bush Sr. a year earlier, due to his fears of race quotas.

    The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 requires employers to provide adequate leave in event of a family crisis or medical problem or event, such as giving birth or a serioius illness. There was little regulation on how much leave, if any was given to employees before FMLA was passed.
