    In hope to share his word that China was a developed country, Zheng He traveled on the South borderline of China and India (as the image shows his route). His death in 1433 ended the voyage where his crew returned home only to be welcomed by the execution of their ships as ordered by the new ruler.

    As stated before, Zheng He's crew returned home to find a new ruler in charge. The ruler or emperor demanded all ships be burned to the ground. This was one of the first steps that the Ming Dynasty took to isolate itself as an entire dynasty.

    Manchus was a nomadic group who were asked by the Ming dynasty to come in and help with a rebellion. Instead, the Manchus decided to attack Beijenng and name the dynasty the Qing dynasty instead.The Qing dynasty kept the original political system.

    Qing has a high income of silver being the only thing to trade with Europe for. As a result, Britain decides that they must take trade control over China's trade. This led to a war.

    Since opium was being traded from Europe, it had been ruining the men of China. Chinese men were addicted. So they would pay anything for it, even silver. Which is why the Opium War began.

  • Taiping Rebellion

    Beginning in 1850, it was led by Hon Xiuguan. He led several successful attacks on the Qing for their unfair treatment and demanded new thinkers. They owned several parts of South Central China.
  • Boxer Rebellion

    The Boxer rebellion was led by a secret societ who actually practiced boxing. They originally planned to take over the Qing yet also murdered Christians. They were supported by empress Cixi.
  • The Last Emperor

    The Last emperor of the Qing was a young boy named Puyi. He was in no manner ready to rule a declining empire, so he was diposed of. He was the last emperor before the revolution.
