Emmett Till Murder
Emmett Till was a 14-year old boy who went to mississippi to visit family. He went to Bryant's Grocery and Meat Market and flirted with or otherwise spoke to a white woman working in the store.Four days later, her husband and his half-brother abducted Till from his great-uncle house, beat and mutilated him, dragged him to the Tallahatchie River and shot him in the head, killing him. The men were locked up but after going in front of the jury they was found not guilty. The jury was white.
