Drug Problems and Rehab
Eminem made very little music during this time. He had divorced his wife Kim Mathers in 2000, but remarried her in 2006. They ended up divorcing again months later and a very ugly dispute began over custody of their daughter Hailie. Eminem became an alcoholic and addicted to sleeping pills and painkillers. In December 2007, he nearly died of an overdose. In 2008, he began writing music again. -

In 2009, he released Relapse. It was his first album in nearly five years. It featured "Crack a Bottle" and "Beautiful." -
Ninth Album
Eminem released his ninth album, Recovery, in 2010. He used this album almost as an autobiography and wrote songs about his personal struggles. It featured hit songs like "Love the Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna and "Not Afraid." -

Eminem released the Marshall Mathers LP 2 on November 5, 2013. It featured tracks like "Berzerk" and "The Monster" featuring Rihanna. -
Eleventh Album
Revival was released in October, 2017. It had the singles "Walk on Water" featuring Beyoncé and "River" featuring Ed Sheeran. The album became his least successful album ever released. -
