Early years
During her childhood and adolescence, she was educated strictly; she attended Amherst Academy and Mount Holyoke Women's Seminary. -
Isolation
she decided to isolate her self from the world, only maintaining contact with close people, such as relatives and friends. During these years SHE wrote most of HER work, which was written on small pieces of paper that she later kept. -
Writting
In life, Emily published only six poems, among these, four appeared in the local newspaper run by her friend and admirer, Samuel Boswell.

Death
After several years of isolated life, Emily Dickinson, died on May 15, 1886, due to Bright's disease. -
After she death
After her death, her sister found most of her writings, including poems and letters, which were published posthumously.Shortly after the publication of these poems, she began to be considered one of the most outstanding female writers of her time. With the passage of time, her fame has endured, being praised for her writings, in which she reflects her love, fear, loneliness, pain and sadness.
