    (1) Alexander Graham Bell created a patent application for the invention of the telephone. This application was formed after Bell had done several experiments on telegraphy. In 1871, Bell started his experiments by working on the harmonic telegraph, but then began experimenting to find a way to transmit human voice over wires (2). By 1875, Bell had come up with a simple receiver that could turn electricity into sound and immediately went to the patent office to get the rights to the discovery.

This phone transformed the way we keep in touch and began the slow death of the wired phone system (9).
