While supplying parts, supplies and support for several more years, the days of mechanical addressing are coming to a close. The PC and databases are going to replace conventional addressing for the next several years. -
Elliott builds new location
Elliott builds its present sales and service facility at 5045 Joe Podesta Road in Memphis, TN. Six months after moving to this location the City of Memphis changes the name of the street to Covington Way. -

Elliott Impression Products, Inc. sells first PICS
Elliott Impression Products, Inc. sells one of the first PICS in the U.S. to Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. The PICS, Photo Identification Card System, is the first ever direct to card dye sublimination card printing system. The PICS put Elliott in the photo ID business, a direct competitor to the industry dominant Polaroid Corporation. The first PICS photos are black and white. This revolutionary and evolutionary product will be a mainstay offering for Elliott for the next 25+ years. -
Jerry and Barbara Raburn retire
After 18 years as owners of Elliott Impression Products, Inc., Jerry and Barbara Raburn retire and transition the business by means of a management buy out to Mike Raburn, Tim Green & Lori Raburn Wade. -
ImageCard III Color Card Printer
Datacard introduces the ImageCard III Color Card Printer. It is a huge success and further strengthens Elliott's and Datacard's leadership in the Photo ID and Card Personalization marketplace. -
Company Name Change
After 20 years the company name, Elliott Impression Products, Inc., no longer reflects Elliott's business purpose. Elliott hires a consultant and begins searching for a new name to accurately describe the Elliott mission. Finally, Elliott Data Systems, Inc. was chosen with the three deltas logo to designate the 3 cores of Elliott's business; Sales, Technical Support and Customer Service. -
