Ellie's Timeline

  • I was born!

This is the day I was born and this is my birthday.
  • First Andy Allison Race

This day was my first Andy Allison Race on my own. I had done it previously, but was too young to run by myself. I also joined Badgers on the Run in 4th grade. Back then, running didn't mean much to me. But to this day, I love running. Running is a way for me to relax and de-stress, and I feel like it has a big impact on my life. I am glad that it has always been a part of my life.
  • 1st Place Country Spelling Bee

This day was when I won my first County Spelling Bee. I think this day has impacted my life because I showed myself that determination and hard work pays off. I think this helped set my mindset for the years of school to come because I knew that I could learn anything and I knew that giving up wasn't the right option if something seemed difficult.
  • First Job

I started my first job doing farm work. I think this job shapes who I am today, because this was my first time having bigger responsibilities for myself. I was almost in 8th grade, so I was too young to actually work. This event shows that I wanted to start doing jobs myself without parents or help.
  • First Day of 10th Grade!

This day is important because it is my first year with all classes of my choosing. I think it shows that I will have to work hard with the classes and I am excited to learn in them.
  • 1st Half Marathon- Woolly Hollow Trail

This is a very significant event because not only was it my first half marathon, but it was in the trails with over 1,000 feet of elevation gain. It also rained the day before, so there were cold creeks to cross and it was around 25-40 degrees outside. It was such a good race though, and I trained all winter, doing another half marathon in March. It definitely showed me that I have a lot of determination at doing what I love!
  • 3rd time competing in the Dam Night Run

This 3rd time is significant because although I get PRs every year in the 5k, this one was the first time that I actually felt proud of myself! And I placed 1st in my age group!
