Elizabeth is missing

  • No word from Elizabeth

    The note from the carer says today is a thursday, the day Maud usually visits her friend Elizabeth. But Elizabeth has not called, and Maud would have written down if she did. In Maud´s pocket she finds a note saying "no word from Elizabeth". She tries calling Elizabeth, without getting an answer.
  • Elizabeth´s house

    Maud goes to Elizabeth´s house to look for her, even though she is not allowed to go outside on her own. After knocking on the door for five minutes, she writes down "No sign of Elizabeth". She takes a look through the windows and notices that the house is empty and there are no food in the kitchen.
  • Trouble at the mall

    Elizabeth goes shopping with her daughter Helen and her granddaughter Katy. She is looking for a lipstick in the color Victory Red, because it reminds her of her sister. On the search for the lipstick, she gets lost and ends up in a different store than Helen and Katy. Her bag catches a vase on a shelf, and it breaks. She can not remember who she came to the mall with and gets herself in trouble with the security guards, until Helen turns up.
  • Elizabeth´s neighbor

    After hearing about frightful cases of missing people, Maud goes to visit Elizabeth´s house one more time. There are still no answer at the door. Elizabeth´s neighbor comes out and tells Maud that Elizabeth´s son Peter has been taking masses of boxes of her stuff to his car. Maud calls Peter, not knowing it is the middle of the night. Peter gets mad and says that his mother is alright, although Maud does not think that Peter is trustworthy or that he looks after his mother good enough.
  • Church

    Maud´s carer, Carla, suggests that Maud goes to church as she used to before. Maud goes to see if Elizabeth shows up. She notices that Elizabeth is nowhere at the church and it seems like her friends do not care about Elizabeth when Maud says she is worried about her.
  • The Police Station

    Maud goes to the police station to report Elizabeth missing. Suddenly she does not remember what she went there to do, but the police officer seems to know her well. Apparently, this is the fourth time Maud has reported Elizabeth missing, and the officer does not think it is necessary to search for her, regarding her age.
  • Hiding in Elizabeth´s house

    After a restaurant visit with Maud's son, Tom from Germany with his wife and children, Tom offers to drive maud home from the restaurant. She gets dropped off by Elizabeths house, and she notices that the door is unlocked. While exploring Elizabeths strange-looking house, Elizabeth's son suddenly comes by to get the rest of the boxes. Maud hurries and hides in a larder, and she finds a letter for Elizabeth, which turns out to be an overdue notice for a book.
  • Care home

    Maud walks by a care home, which used to be the Station Hotel where her sister Sukey´s suitcase was found after her disappearance. When it starts to rain, Maud rests under a bus shelter. Suddenly a women comes out from the care home. She tells Maud that the Filipino midgets changed her real name "Margaret" to "Peggy", and that they even put it on her records. This makes her wonder if Elizabeth is in a care home as well and someone have changed her name too.
  • New home

    Maud sells her house and moves into her daughter Helen´s house. When Maud gets to her new home she have no idea where she is or why she is there. She wonders how Elizabeth will find her if she has moved.
  • The Echo´s office

    Maud is losing her memory even more, and is starting to forget who her daughter and granddaughter is. She believes a woman broke into her house, and follows the woman down the roads. She loses sight of the woman and takes a bus to town, where she goes off by The Echo´s office, which is an office for the magazine "Echo". At The Echo´s office Maud eventually remembers what she went there for, and puts an advert for Elizabeth in the paper.
  • Peter

    Elizabeth´s son Peter visits Maud and confronts her about the advert she put out for Elizabeth. But Maud can not remember that she did it, and refuses the guilt.
  • Burglar in her own house

    Maud still believes that she is living in her old house, but when she goes there a stranger opens the door. First, Maud believes that the man is a burglar in her house and gets really confused. After a while Helen, Maud´s daughter, comes and apologies to the new family who moved in.
  • Visit Elizabeth at the hospital

    Maud have to stay in a care home because Helen is going away for the weekend. She does not want to be there and gets mad at Helen when she returns. Helen apologies and wants to take Maud to visit Elizabeth at the hospital. Maud does not know that Elizabeth had a stroke and is resting in a rehabilitation unit, even though Helen have told her over and over.
  • Buried in Elizabeth´s garden

    On their way home, Maud starts to remember things from her childhood, which makes her understand the connection between Elizabeth and her sister´s disappearance. She is convinced that Sukey is buried in Elizabeth´s garden, and that Sukey´s husband Frank buried her there. Together with Helen, she goes to Elizabeth´s house.
  • Witness

    Helen starts digging at the places where Frank grew marrows, and finds Sukey´s skeleton and her belongings. Maud is confused when she is being questioned as a witness, cause she knows that Frank killed her sister.
