Elizabeths childhood and when she was born.
Elizabeth was born on Novermeber 12th of 1815. She died October 26th 1902. She was one of six children who survived infancy and early childhood. Elizabeth lived in Jamestown wiith her family. They later moved to boston becasue of Elizabeths father having differnt jobs. -
When Elizabeth got married
Elizabeth got married to a man named Henry Brewster Stanton. Henry was an American abolitionist, social reformer, attorney, journalist and politician. They got married on May 1st 1840. In her words " She envisioned a contract between two fully equal individuals, and she stressed repeatedly that man cannot achieve his best self if woman if not his true equal in every way. The ultimate barrier to achieving this ideal, she concluded, is religion". She stated this on her wedding day. -
Decloration of Sentiments
The Declaration of Sentiments is a document signed in 1848 by 68 women and 32 men 100 out of some 300 people at the first women's rights convention that was organized by women Elizabeth Read it and agreed and signed this document. it was held at Seneca Falls, July 19th-20th in 1848. this was published by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B Anthony. -
The Birth of Theadore Stanton.
Theodore Stanton was a United States journalist. He graduated from Cornell in 1876 and In 1880, he was the Berlin correspondent of the New York Tribune, and he afterward engaged in journalism in Paris. He was the son of a of journalist and abolitionist. Mother Elizabeth Cady Stanton and father t Henry Brewster Stanton. -

Harriot Eaton Stanton Blatch was an American writer, suffragist, and the daughter of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. During World War I, Harriot devoted her time to the war, heading the Women's Land Army, which provided additional farm labor. She wrote Mobilizing Woman Power in 1918. -
Stanton runs for congress.
In1866 Stanton Runs for Congress as an independent candidate making her the first women to be the international Council of women. “I have no political antecedents to recommend me to your support,” she wrote in a letter announcing her candidacy. she also said “but my creed is free speech, free press, free men, and free trade—the cardinal points of democracy.” she wrote this to help her win over votes. Overall she had received a total of 24 votes. -
Stanton tried to donate her brain to science.
In 1887 there was a women named Helen Gardener that asked Stanton to donate her brian to Cornell University for postmortem preservation and study. Gargener wanted to experiemnt to prove some oint to see if her intelligence was greater than a mans. But when it came to Elizabeths death is 1902 her children denied the fact to donate it. so later when Gadener died (1925) she later then donated her brain for the students to experiement on . It remains in the Cornell collection to this day. -
The presidency of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. (NWSA)
Elizabeth Stanton was the president of the National Woman Suffrage Association for 20 years and worked closely with Susan B. Anthony. Santon was president of the National wonan suffrage Association (1869-1890), Elizabeth Stanton served as the president of the new organization for two years.
