The Bingley's "Take Possession of Netherfield"
The Bennet household is excited about the new neighbors and can't wait to meet them. The women are mostly excited about the prospect of future husbands, especially Mrs. Bennet. Mr. Darcy stays with the Bingley's, and this is how he meets Elizabeth. -
Assembly at Meryton
There is an assembly at Meryton. Elizabeth overhears Mr. Darcy call her "tolerable" and begins to dislike him intensely. She calls him out on the insult, and gains his respect. Mr. Darcy begins to look at her more closely. -
Time at Netherfield
Jane is invited to Netherfield and becomes sick. Elizabeth goes to visit her and stays at Netherfield for a few days with her. During the visit Mr. Darcy and she have few conversations, and he attempts to ignore her, while become more intrigued by her. -
Elizabeth Meets Miss de Bourgh
Elizabeth meets Mr. Darcy's aunt and manages to stay polite despite her insults. She also wins the favor or Mr. Darcy's friend Colonel Fitzwilliam. Mr. Darcy is impressed. -
Mr. Darcy's First proposal
Mr. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth in the most unromantic way possible. She rejects him, and lists for him all of the horrible things he has done to make her hate him. Mr. Darcy was unaware of these things, and realizes his mistakes. Elizabeth finally realises Mr. Darcy loves her. -
Mr. Darcy's Letter
Mr. Darcy writes a letter to Elizabeth after being rejected by her. He explains away all of the things she hates about him, and why he did them. Elizabeth realises she was wrong about him, and that he is actually a good man, but he has already left. -
Elizabeth visits Pemberly
Elizabeth visits Pemberly against her will. She sees Mr. Darcy's love for his sister. Mr. Darcy spies her, and they speak briefly. He invites her and her aunt and uncle back the next day. His hopes are renewed because she accepts and is kind to him. She begins to fall in love with him. -
Mr. Darcy Saves the Day
After Lydia elopes with Mr. Wickham, Mr. Darcy finds the two and agrees to pay an exorbitant sum to Wickham so the two will be married. Elizabeth and her father originally believe that their uncle was paying a smaller amount, but when Elizabeth finds out what Mr. Darcy has done, she realizes he has saved her family. Elizabeth is in love, and Mr. Darcy has more than redeemed himself. -
Mr. Darcy's Second Proposal
Mr. Darcy returns to Netherfield and proposes again to Elizabeth. This time she accepts. She and her uncle are the only two who realize what Mr. Darcy has done for the family, so Elizabeth tells her father so that he will agree to the marriage. Everyone is surprised, but happy for Elizabeth. -
Double Wedding
Jane and Mr. Bingley are married together with Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy in a double wedding. Both sisters are whisked away to live happily every after in ridiculously large homes with handsome husbands.
