    The treaty of versailes was signed to end WWI. It made it so germany had to pay for any damage they caused and give up all of their over sea colonies.

    Hitler voted to power in Germany
    Former chancellor Franz von Papen appointed Adof Hitler to become the new chancellor. Hitler burned down a building and blamed it on his enemies so that he can make more people want to follow him. This made the vote much higher and therefore he gained the power from the president.

    On September 3, 1941, the Nazi's started experimenting with gases and chemicals. They were trying to find the most efficent way to kill people. After establishing these chambers they created the way of cremating these people.

    On December 7, 1941, Japan launched a suprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. They launched this attack to prevent and distract the US from interfering with their planned attacks on Southeast Asia. This is what made the US join the war.

    After the events of Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt decieded that Japan was a threat. He decided that all Japanese Americans should be sent to internment camps. All Japanese Americans were forced to leave their homes and live in camps for all of the war.

    The battle of Normandy was also called the D-day. This was known to be the largest invasion in military history. They brought together land, air, and sea forces of the allied armies. The attack was on Japan and the german forces won.

    On Febuary 19, 1945 the battle of Iwo Jima occured. The US attacked Iwo Jima. The Japanese defenders were dug into bunkers deep of volcanic rocks. America ended up taking the victory. It was one of the bloodiest battles.
