School
I started my studies in 1998, here I had contact with the first basic vocabulary in English and books in English. I love my books, I have the collection. Happiness. -
First experiences to be interested
The boxes of my toys had instructions in English and to put them together my dad helped me read in English. -
Secondary School
In high school English was taught by means of excellent software with many games of vocabulary, exploring, songs, evaluation and other elements that allowed me to advance a lot in my learning. It was a different method and English was my favorite subject. -
First contact with foreigners
This year, friends of my family from the United States started coming to Colombia and they were going to visit us 2 or 3 times a week, they practiced Spanish with my family and with me and I listened in English (Basic level: Greetings, questions, Colors, etc) -
Song Festival
In the school there was an activity called "song festival" per year and in that year I had to introduce myself with two more companions to represent the course, I was afraid because I had to improve my pronunciation and I do not like to sing but to win I had to work hard. -
La Salle University
When I started my university studies, I was afraid because English classes were absolutely English and I had the challenge of studying strong vocabulary and the basics in order to communicate while learning my L2. -
My first job as an English teacher
My first experience was doing a replacement, I was afraid because I had never had a group of students and I had 4 groups in charge ... I knew I had knowledge of the topics but I was afraid of the experience...Finally this was wonderful because the students obeyed at all and they were very good at learning. -
Pedagogical Practicum (San Vicente del Cagúan - Colombia)
I was afraid again, because I would be supervised by the La Salle brothers and I could not fail, I was representing the university and putting my profession into practice. I was in charge of 4 groups, it was finally a great experience and it's just a matter of daring and doing it to make everything flow.
