Alexander Graham Belln was who invented the telephone, but it's more suitable to say that he was who patented. Because of the fact that some other people had achieved the same invention but they didn't patented. -
Public telephones
The first public telephones were used with an attendant because these artifacts were not able to accept coins.Also, attendants started the calls and then they charge customers.
however, in 1889 were already used the telephones with coins and by 1902 there were 81000 payphones across the U.S. But the first street payphone was installed in 1905 in
the state of Ohio.
