Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11, 1884 in the town of Manhattan. -
Eleanor's father went to the sanitarium.
At age six Eleanor's father who was an alcoholic went to an live in a sanitarium. -
Eleanor's mother and brother died.
When Eleanor was eight years old her mother "the beautiful Anna" had passed away shortly after her little brother had passed away because of diphtheria. -
Boarding school
Most before Eleanor turned fifteen her grandmother sent her to boarding school called Allenswood in the outskirts of London. -
Leaving Boarding School
In 1902 ealenor left Allenswood, barely 18 years of age, to return home and not complete her fourth year. Since her grandmother insisted that instead she must be introduced to society as a debundance. -
Married for Once and for All
On march 17, 1905, Eleanor and Franklin were married. -
First born child
In May 1906 the couples first child born and during the next 9 years five more kids were born. -
Disaster Struck
In the summer of 1921 while on vacation franklin fell ill with polio and was paralyzed. -
The passing of Franklin
By spring 1945, on April 12, a phone call brought forth the news that Franklin went to take a rest had died. -
Eleanor's passing
On November 7, 1962 Eleanor Roosevelt had passed away in her sleep but she will still be remembered by many and still more to come.
