My Christening.
In my family and more widely the Croatian community, it is a big event when a child gets christened, having a large family it was definitely a big affair. This photo is my christening certificate, it is an important event in my life because it was my introduction into my religion and community, it is so important to me because my faith is such an important part of my life. -
My First Christmas
As shown in this photo, I was definitely terrified of Mr Santa Clause. According to my mum I was the worst one of the 5 children when it came to getting a photo with Santa, everytime the photographer tried to get a photo I was crying, so this was my first Christmas photo to have as a memory. -
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!
Although I don't remember my 1st birthday, looking back at all the photos and birthday cards, I know that my parents put in a lot of work to make it a special day. This picture of me shows all the teddy bears and clown that I recieved as gifts. -

Hello Kindergarten
The day I started at Norlane West Kindergarten, I was there for 2 years. -
A Pretty Little Flowergirl.
I was a flowergirl for my cousin's wedding. The only thing I remember about this day was having a pin stuck in my dress, it was bothering me all day and it was the end of the night before anyone found what I was complaining about. -
My First Day of School.
My first day at Holy Family Primary School, it was definitely a difficult first couple of years at that school, especially because I couldn't speak a word of English. -
Won Inside, out, upside, down day at school
I don't remember much about this day, except crying to mum that I didn't want to go to school looking like I got dressed in the dark. Obviously it paid off because we took first prize. -

First Holy Communion
Again this is a big affair for my family, luckily on this day I also shared my special day with my baby sister who was celebrating her first birthday -
First Reconciliation
I had my first reconciliation at Holy Family Catholic Church. It was a nerve-racking day, it still terrifies me every time I go to confession. -
Second Prize in Croatian Writing Competition
My Croatian teacher requested that I enter into the Croatian writing competition. I needed to construct a family tree, going back 3 generations. I ended up taking second prize that year, but never recieved my family tree back. -
First Prize in the Croatian Writing Competition.
Similarly to the previous year I was asked to put in a entry for the competition, however this year the topic was 'popular Croatian sports', so I chose to base my entry on rowing. A requirement of the competition was that we make a model of the equipment that is used to compete in the sport, so along with my parents help I made the scull, and the oars and mounted it on plywood that looked like a river. I ended up taking first prize, and again never recieved my entry back unlike everyone else. -
Primary School Graduation
This was definitely a night that I wouldn't forget. I performed a little dance routine with some of my friends, to 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend', this was definitely one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, but a night that I would never forget also. -
High School- Sacred Heart College.
I had some of the best experiences of my life here. I met some of the best friends, and spent hours talking to my history teachers about world history, meanwhile I also often dominated the classroom discussions which some people didn't appreciate. -
HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY!
The day my Dad shoved my face in my birthday cake, as payback for me doing it to him the previous year. Luckily no one got a photo of the incident. -
Visitor from Japan!
My best friend from Japan came to stay with us for two weeks. It was a very special two weeks, will definitely never forget those two weeks. -
Welcome ANDREJ MATIJA!
I became a big sister for the 4th time. Since he was born our lives have changed so much. He's entrance and existance in our lives brought so much joy and happiness at a time that we needed it the most. After the passing of my Grandma, he was born a couple of years later, and everything about him reminds me of her. He is definitely a gift to our lives. -
High School Graduation
This was an interesting night to say the least, full of tears and laughter, but that got ruined when I was rushed to hospital for an allergic reaction to my makeup. I did graduate and shortly after I recieved my certificate and my photo was taken (making me look like a blow fish), I was at hospital getting treated for my reaction. -
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY!
This day was special I enjoyed a great day at the beach with my immediate family. Just a quite day, nothing extravagent, no party as requested and no presents, just memories. -
Hello University.
This was the first day of the rest of my life. From this first day I fell in love with university and studying and taking my future into my own hands, and making the most of it.
