President Franklin Delano Roosevelt begins fireside chats. He uses radio to broadcast news directly from the White House. This continues for 11 years of his presidency. -
War of the Worlds
CBS produced and broadcasted a radio version of HG Wells's novel about an alien invasion. The production was made to seem real, and America panicked. -

Pandora has some serious competition as Spotify is founded. Since there were now two major streaming companies, internet streaming became the new "thing" in radio.
