Virginia Clemm was Edgar's wife they married when she was 13 and he was 27. She was his first cousin they met when he moved to his aunts house after his foster mother died. -

Virginia died at age 24 the same age as his birth mom died. She also died as the same thing his mother and foster mother died of, TB. Edgar became really upset since all of the women he loved died an of the same disease. -

Poe died in 1849 of unkown causes. There are several theories about his death. He died in Washington University Hospital and was later burried in Westminster Burying Grounds. -
