U.S bought land from the French government. They paid $15 million (2012- $230 million) for what today makes up or is part of 15 different states. Took place when the Thomas Jeffferson was predident. Economical becasue they used money to buy land from the French. -
Missouri Compromise
Law/bill passed by congress for pro-slavery and anti-slavery states that regulated the use of slaves. Banned slavery in the Louisiana territory established boundry parallel 36;30 north.(Except Missouri) Political because the government is passing a law/bill. -
Nullification Crisis
Crisis during the presidency of Andrew Jackson where the state of South Carolina said that the federal terrrifs of 1828 and 1832 were uncostitional.Political becasue it is about the state stating that the federal tax was unconstutional. -
Cherokee Indian Removal
American settlers made Cherokee indians leave their land. Removed from the folloing states Alabma, Georga, North Caorlina, and Tennessee.Moved them west to indian territry.

A war in between Mexico and the U.S that was caused by problems with Mexico since the U.S added Texas as a U.S state in 1845. Americans won foring the Mexican government to sell land to the U.S. Political event becasue the U.S is going to war with Mexico over the Texas boundary. -
Nat Turner’s Rebellion
A slave that rebelled in the Southamptom, Virgina. Led by Nat Turner slaves killed 55 to 65 white people. Social event becasue the Africans americans were killing white people.
