Graham at the Graham’s magazine. 1840 Poe worked on his first detective novel “THE MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE 1845 he published his first great horror story “THE RAVEN” 1847 her biological mother and older brother when they died, his wife died of tuberculosis. Oct 7, 1849 he died because of brain congestion or his alcoholism but his death still remains a great mystery since the death certificate never appeared.
