    The ARRA is a stimulus package that provided tax cuts and federal funds in hopes of saving existing jobs, having economic growth, and creating jobs. This package was in response to the Great Recession in 2008 and caused the debt to rise to $11 trillion and the deficit to rise to $1.4 trillion.

    Ex-president Barack Obama created The Affordable Care act, also known as Obama Care in 2010. This health insurance act’s goal was to make health care higher quality, more widely available, and lower its costs. It is hard to say weather Obama care has helped the economy because both political parties will skew the numbers in order for their benefit.

    Legalization of Marijuana
    On Nov 6, 2012 Colorado passed amendment 64. This legalized the use and regulation of marijuana for adults over the age of 21. It also establishes a system that makes marijuana taxes regulated and sold similar to alcohol. In 2015 Colorado was $700 million industry.

    Trans-Pacific Partnership
    Just recently, President Donald Trump signed an executive action which ended the United States participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership. One supporter of the partnership was Barack Obama but Trump claims that the pact is a “potential disaster for our country”.
