    Taxing
    During the election of 2008 the difference between republicans and Democrats is that; Obama wishes to continue the Bush tax cuts to the lower classes, and continue it for the wealthy people. McCain would decrease the corporate tax income from 35% to 25%. He also encourages a $5000 tax credit for the families to buy health insurance. This falls under monetary policy and the budget deficit.

    Housing Market
    Americans are feeling poorer due to the housing market crahsing. US homeowners lost about $3.3 trillion during the 2008 housing market crash. The stock market lost $6.9 trillion from shareholders.This falls under monetary policy and a savings deficit.

  • International Trade

    International Trade
    After the great recession there was a collapse in the international trade. The U.S wasn't the only country facing a recession which hurt the economy as the other countries decreased their demand for exported goods, having a bigger impact on the economy even more than after the recession of 2001. This fiscal policy falls within the trade deficit.

  • Social Security

    Social Security
    President Obama signed the law were there will be no social security for prisoners. This act denies prisoners from any of the benefits of the social security while in prision. The benefits from the social security will be suspended for the time you are in jail and after serving your time you are not automatically eligible for the benefits. This is a fiscal policy under the budget deficit.

    In 2010 the affordable care act was signed and made into a law, this act creates cheaper health insurance and makes it easier for everyone to have access to health care. It is now a requirement for everyone in the U.S. to have Obamacare. This is a fiscal Policy and fits into the leadership deficit category.

  • Unemployment Rates

    Unemployment Rates
    In July the unemployment rate for the U.S. was at 4.9%. This is relatively low comparatively speaking to the rates that averaged around 8 or 9% in the years 2009-2012. To find this percentage they take the number of unemployed people and divide it by the number of employed people in the U.S. The unemployment rates are a result of fiscal and monetary policies and fits into the leadership deficit category.
