Algernon
I really don't see anything romantic about proposing, he says this because he means that finds proposing the non-romantic part of being in a relationship. -

Jack
the divorce court was specially invented for people whose memories are so curiously constituted. he means that the divorce court was made for people that have become unhappy in their relationship -

Algernon
Divorces are made in heaven. I think he means that divorces are the best thing that can happen between two people. (personally, I don't agree, especially if kids are involved). -

Algernon
Girls never marry the men they flirt with. (I'm pretty sure this is where people learned some girls are out of their league) because men would ask the girl that was flirting to go on a date or courting, and then she would say no, and then men realized that flirtatious girls are out of their league. -

Gwendolen
my ideals have always been to marry someone by the name of Earnest, she has a weird fascination with the name earnest, she doesn't really look towards what the person looks like, she also said that as soon as Algernon mentioned he had a friend named earnest she already knew they were destined for each other, so she doesn't pay attention to looks rather the names. -

Jack
Supposing it was something else? Jack is not worried about what the names have to do in a relationship, he is worried that him having a name that Gwendolen doesn't like, she won't like him for that name. -
20
Jack
"I must get christened at once" he wants to get christened because Gwendolen is against the name Jack or John and so because he loves Gwendolen he decides to get christened because he never remembered ever being christened and that gives him the opportunity to change his name for jack to earnest, kind of a dumb move instead he could just tell Gwendolen that his real name is Jack and hope she accepts it as it is. -

Jack
"I have never loved anyone in the world but you," he wants to wait for the right one, when the time is right (he must be an extremely patient man to wait 29 years to love anyone). -
21
Gwendolen
"I am afraid you have had little experience in how to propose." she wants everything to be professional, she is a perfectionist. -
21
Lady Bracknell
"And now i have a few questions to put to you," she is curious to find out what kind of man Jack is and if he should be able to marry Gwendolen -
21
Gwendolen
"I am afraid you have had very little experience in how to propose," she needs everything about love and courting for that matter to be perfect. -
21
Lady Bracknell
"When you do become engaged to some one, i, or your father, should his health permit him, will inform you of the fact," she wants to know if that if the special someone is right for their daughter, and if he is up to their standards -
22
Lady Bracknell
"you are not down on my list of eligible young men," she wants to chose someone who she thinks is perfect for Gwendolen, and way back then the adults found men to marry their daughters instead of the girls looking for one them selves -
26
Lady Bracknell
"to make a definite effort to produce at any rate one parent," um she wants Jack to have a parent because maybe even at the age of 29 you still have to get parents signature of approval before he can get married, she wants him to have at least one parent to prove his name is earnest or if its Jack and to know if he was christened and what name was given when he was christened -

Cecily
"I should like to have entered it neatly,"
she wants to go off slow in this relationship and taking their time to propose to one and other
