Known to be the first hominid to roam, they mostly had ape features, some human features, and three ft high. One unique feature Lucy had was biped which means that she walked on two feet. Homo Habilis, "Handy Man" ,lived in Africa nearly 1.5 to 2 million B. C. E. They were 4 ft. and they had a bigger brain than Lucy. They were the first to use tools like digging sticks and sharp stones. Their tools were not as sephisticated as todays tools. That is where they get the nickname, " Handy Man" -

Homo Sapiens Sapiens are the latest modern human who lived in Africa, east of Europe, and parts of Asia over 35,000 to 12,000 BCE. These hominids were 6 ft. tall, had rounded skulls, small teeth, and slender bones. They also had advanced brains, a complex language, and the made a variety of tools like spears and digging sticks. these all affect us as modern humans.
