    Austrian Anschluss
    Hitler threatened to invade German Speaking Austria if Austrian Nazis were not given important government post. Austrian leader wanted to put the unification in a democratic vote. Hitler was worried of the result sent troops in Austria set the unification of Austria and Germany.
  • Hitler Demands Danzing

    Hitler Demands Danzing
    Hitler wanted the city of Danzing to be in German control again but Danzing was apart of Poland since World War I. Also wanted a highway across the Polish Corridor to seperate western Germany from the German state of East Prussia. Britain and France stated that they would help Poland if Germany declared war. Then Hitler prepared his army to invade Poland.

    Representatives of Britain,France,Italy,and Germany met in Munich to decide the status of Czechoslovokia. Two countries Britain and France wanted to make deals in order to stay away from conflict. If they gave Hitler what he wanted then he would not go to war. Czechoslovakias was given an option either give up Sudetenland or fight Germany with no aid. Hitler got Sudetenland and then six monts later occupied all of Czechoslovokia.

    Nazi-Soviet Pact was a nonagression treaty between Germnay and the Soviet Union. Germany didnt want the Soviet Union to get involved. Also, Stalin also wanted to protect the USSR by turing the capitalist nations on each other. The treaty also included a secret deal to divide Poland between Germnay and the Soviet Union. A couple of days after the pact was signed World War II had begun Britain and France decalred war on Germany.

    After World War II had been declared the invasion started. Poland army was nowhere near advanced as the Germany army. Germnay had a new tatic called blitzkreig or lightning war a tactic that bull rushed the enemy with tanks being supported by aircraft and infantry to cut off their supply. Warsaw the capital of Poland fell to the Germans on Septemeber 27 and by October 5,1939 poland had been defeated.

    Fall of France
    After World War I france had built a line of conrete bunkers and fortifications called the Maginot Line along the German border. The Maginot line was a failure because it gave Hitler a chance to focus only on Poland before fighting Britain and France. Also it endangered France border with Belgium becasue German going around the Maginot Line. Germany launched a new Blitzkreig on May 10 and moved through the Ardennes mountains to penetrate the armies that were now stuck in Belgium
  • The Evacuation of Dunkirk

    The Evacuation of Dunkirk
    After being backed up by German forces the Allied forces had a chance to save troops in a port in Northern France called Dunkirk. Hitler had his soliders to stop and back off people believed the British would accept peace without embarrasement. His orders provided a three delay which allowed 850 ships of mutiple sizes Belgium,Dutch,and France helped to rescue the troops called Operation Dynamo. They rescued 338,000 troops. The con of this evacuation was all of British ammuntion was in Dunkirk
  • Battlle of Britain

    Battlle of Britain
    After Churchill made his inspiring speech about the British not surrendering German prepared to invade but Germany had to defeat the British Royal Air Force. In June 1940 the German air force called the Luftwaffle began attacking the British Channel. Then both sides had an air battle which lasted until the Fall in 1940 known as the Battle of Britain. After Britains new technological advancement of radar destroying 1,733 aircraft forced Germany to canel the invasion on October 12,1940
