    Realizing children needed more to achieve a full and successful education. Suggested manipulative activities in the classrooms. She wrote books that helped people understand that parents and adults may need guidance in raising and interacting with a child.
  • Idea of Universal Preschool in United States

    The first event where people decided to tell the world just how important preschool is. A petition was started and while we are still working towards a complete cooperation with the idea, it made people aware.

    Developed the cognitive theory, saying children learn from experiencing. Learning on their minds will then affect what they choose to do or believe. It will also influence the knowledge they take in.
  • Sputnik

    The first satellite launch created drama through out the world. Without the use of technology, science, and math the event would not have been a success. In the past, and still to this day science has helped evolve our idea of education and how to structure it for the young minds.
  • Economic Opportunity Act (EOA)

    Provided for children and families who were unable to have basic education needs because of money. Funded programs and made it possible for every child to be included. Education is important and they helped to make it available for all.

    This group expressed the passion for early childhood that was necessary to being in the early childhood field. It set guide lines for those who decided to spend their lives helping children grow.

    This act included disabled as well as handicap children. It was made so that places of education are treating all with equality, zero discrimination, and the physical place accessible to all.
