Leaveing Mrs. Hole's 'Dame school'
Dylan leaves Mrs. Hole's ' Dame School'. He then gose Swansea Grammar School. Dylan was always sickly kid and would shied away from school. He would like to read to himself in school. -
First of the 'Notebooks'
Dylan started the notebooks with his poems of his. The book had early poems he had copied that were from his early years and then in the end had over 200 poems in four books. He ended writing the notebooks in 1934. -
Going to be a reporter
Thomas leaves Swansea Grammar School to be a junior reporter for " Swansea Wales Daily Post". Dylan had dropped out of school at 16 to become a reporter. -
Join the Theatre.
Dylan joined " Swansea Little Theatre Company". His sister Nancy Thomas, was already a member there. Dylan acted in many plays, one of them being " Hey Fever" by Noel Coward. -
Concentrating on poetry
Dylan quits his job a the post to conentrate on his work and poems. While working on his poems, he worte half of his whole collection, in his late teens. -
Frist poem published.
On May 18th, Dylan got his frist poem published in " New English Weekly". The name of the poem was 'And Death Shall have No Dominion'. The poem was also his frist one published out of Wales. -
'Poet's Corner'
In Septeber, Dylan gets 'That Sanity Be Kept' publihed in 'Poet's Corner'. It was seen by Pamela Hansford Johnson. Which aspired them, they wrote to Dylan. -
Book prize
Dylan had won the Book prize of the 'Poet's Conter'. He had won it for his frist collection of poems. Pamela Hansford Johnson had also won it previously. -
First appearance.
Dylan has his first appearan in book form. Then his poem 'Light Breaks Where No Sun Shines' was published in ' The Year's Poetry '. -
18 Poems.
Dylan frist collection, 18 poems, was published in 'Sunday Referee' jointly. -
Radio.
On 21 of April Dylan has his frist radio broadcast of 'Life and the Modern Poet'. It was recorded in the BBC's London studios. He then left to back home in Swansea. -
Marriage
Dylan and Caitlin get maried at Penzance Register Office. Dlyan had to borrow money from Wyn Hendersonto pay for the license. -
Semi-autobiographical
'Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog', Dylan's semi-autobiographical collection of short stories was published by JM Dent and Sons Ltd. -

He being working for Strand Flims and continued on thought the war. -

Dylan's second edition of '18 Poems' was published by Fortune Press. -

BBC broadcast his description of Swansea in his youth, Return Journey. -
Flim Sripts.
Dylan worked on thre flim sripts - 'Me and My Bike, Rebecca's Daughters, and The Beach at Falesa. Then soon the company gose out of business. -
Collection of Poems.
He had a collection of poems from 1934- 1952 was published in Britain by JM Dent and Sons Ltd. 65 copies of limited signed edition and trade edition. -
Dylan collaps
In Chelsea Hotel, New York, Dylan had collapsed and five days later he died in St Vincent's Hospital. He died at the age of 39.
