    The Birth of Eisenhower
    Dwight D. Eisenhower was born Oct. 14, 1880 in Denison Texas. Dwight had six brothers Arthur, Edgar, Roy, Earl, Milton, and their parents were David and Ida Eisenhower.

    Eisenhower had many hobbies such as, hunting, fishing, football, and eagerly reading about Military history. Though with always having chores he had to fit his hobbies in between his duties around his family's farm. Years later Dwight was accepted into West Point were he played football until a knee injury parted him from the beloved sport. In the other hand his education was another problem. With Dwight's bad habits and average grades his teachers frowned upon him.

    Eisenhower had an eventful middle age life. He went to school at the United States Military Academy. He later went on to serve in WWI and eventually WWII. After the end of World War Eisenhower was promoted to a 5 Star General and lead the D-Day Invasion of Normandy.

    After Eisenhower's military service he married Mamie Geneva later becoming Mamie Eisenhower. The young couple frequently move between Military Stations. Eisenhower settled in and eventually had two children, John Eisenhower and Doud Eisenhower.

    Eisenhower was surprisingly requested to run by the current President, Harry S. Truman. Truman tried at his best to interest Eisenhower into Presidency but even though the offer was great, Eisenhower rejected his offer. Eisenhower was later requested by many other Republicans but overall he rejected their offers as well.

    In the 1952 Presidential election Eisenhower ran against Adlai Stevenson. The Voted turned out to be a landslide in Eisenhower's favor. Dwight David Eisenhower was now soon to become the President of the United States of America.
  • 1st Term

    1st Term
    Eisenhower became President Jan 20, 1953. President Eisenhower admitted the States of Alaska and Hawaii into the U.S.A. Eisenhower also signed the Civil Rights of 1960. He as well oversaw the end of the Korean War. The Eisenhower Interstate System was even named after him in 1956.

    2nd Term
    During the 2nd Term of Eisenhower's Presidency he continued to aid Western Europe to defend of possible Soviet Union attacks. Eisenhower even signed a law to desegregate the U.S. When the year of 1961 comes along the U.S will have to say goodbye to one of their favorite Presidents.

    After Eisenhower's Presidency he and his family moved out to a farm right on the edge of the Civil War Battlefield, Gettysburg. Eisenhower often gave advice to the following President John F. Kennedy. In his freetime he even wrote books about his past life and the struggles he had gone through.
