Implementation Plan Written
Proposal was written that including addressing ongoing funding for the program and the six elements of blended learning implementation: leadership, professional development, teaching, operations, content, and technology. -
Determine Model
Stakeholders met to determine model of implementation to best meet the needs of DES students. Station Rotation Model was selected. -
Goal Setting
Leadership Team members met to set measurable goals for years 1, 2, and 3. -
Identify Professional Development
Stakeholders met to determine Professional Development needs for teachers and administrator. The team committed to LEC Blended and Online Certification through our County Schools Office of Education. -
Identify Needed Support Systems

Begin Certification Course
23 Certificated staff members began the 9-week LEC course as a cohort. -
Place Purchase Orders for Necessary Materials
Software and Hardware were ordered with the goal to achieve 2:1 devices by year one and 1:1 by year two. -
Develop Daily Schedule
A daily schedule was developed to honor Blended Learning time-blocks by grade. An MOU was developed with local teachers' association to implement minimum days each Friday to allow teachers necessary data analysis time. -
Certification
LEC course concluded. Staff celebrated certification. -
Test Devices
As Chromebook carts began arriving at school site, they were tested for compatibility with district network and site wi-fi. -
Professional Development for iReady Software
Professional Development from iReady publisher in ELA, Math, and data analysis to personalize learning. -
