The 14th admentment was passed. While only one state Tenessee denied it. Then finally the aferican americans were garenteed a to be able to vote. Most white southeners refused to take part in the votting elections. This was a newbiging for the aferican americans. -

At first the the ademntment was attacked by johnson and peple stoped voting for him . Sense he wasnt getting many votes he got overrided.Later the confedert states didnot radiffy the admendment and passed the act.
