  • Parents Split/Early life

When Drake was 5 years old his parents split up, in the 6th grade he moved with Mother to Forest Hill, a predominate Jewish neighborhood in Toronto. even though of his Jewish upbringing Drake states that he felt isolated in his Forest Hill high school. "Nobody knew what is was like being Jewish and Black" he has said, Drake didn't let the diversity bring him down and makes it clear that him being "different" from everyone else made him stronger.
  • Drake starts Experimenting with music

Drake started experimenting and trying to wright lyrics in his teenage years.
  • Period: to

    Degrassi: the next generation

He got the role when he was 14 years old and how he got it must of been fate. Sitting in class Drake was always cracking jokes and could be considered a smooth talker. Eventually he was told by one of his classmates that he was "Good at what he does" and making people laugh and that Drake should go talk to his father which is an agent and the rest is history. (History including earning a Young artist reward in 2002)

  • Striking Gold

With the relase of Drake's 3rd mixtape:"So Far Gone", one song (Best I Ever Had) that blew up, being nominated 2 grammy's, best rap solo prefomance, and best rap song. This also started Drake's ability to be glued to the top 100's chart, He would be the first artist to be on the top 100's chart for 8 years straight eventually ending in 2017 for 431 weeks back to back to back.

  • Hotline not so bling

In early 2017 Drake’s “Hotline bling” won him 2 awards at the Grammy’s but for Drake this is a controversial subject, as one of the awards is for best rap song, but the thing is Hotline bling isn’t a rap song but I’ll let him speak for his self: “I’m a Black artist, I’m apparently a rapper, even though Hotline Bling is not a rap song. I won two awards but I don’t even want them.”
  • Drake’s son

Drake’s son was born October 11th 2017, Drake had Adonis Graham with French model Sophie Brussaux.
  • “Scary hours”/“Scorpion”

Drake started 2018 with “scary hours” which included his well known hit “gods plan” and later in June with the release of his 5th studio album “Scorpion” which made him the first artist to have 1 billion streams after the first week of a studio release. in 2019 while accepting a Grammy for best rap song for “gods plan” this was bitter sweet as he was cut off during his acceptance speech for downplaying the importance of being honoured at the Grammy’s.
  • Certified Lover Boy

Drakes 6th and most recent studio album “Certified Lover n
Boy” was an instant hit, and most likely we’ll see Drake bag a few more rewards as a result.
