4 Johnny and Ponyboy killed Bob.
All following things are around this event. Pony and Johnny killed him. I think is showed Pony and Johnny’s spirit of resistance. That’s to be a blasting fuse for all the plots will happened next time and next. Lead Pony’s eruption to Socs. Give a transition for the event, make me feel astonished for this. -
3 Ponyboy argued with Darry.
That’s can have a compare with the thing that after Pony and Johnny came back from church. Darry showed his silently love to Pony, that’s make me surprised. Darry wanted his brother to become a good man, and he was too worried Pony will get hurt. He do not wanted Pony disappeared like their parents. -
1 Ponyboy was bullied Socs.
Give a short introduction to reader, and show the relationship between the greases and socials. That’s give a clue for us. And I think is also a transition for Ponyboy. He was always protected by others, so that’s give me a chance to predict that he is always cowardly and he will revolt at last. -
2 Ponyboy met Cherry at theater.
Ponyboy is a shy and the youngest one of greases. He do not experience so much like Darry, so when he met a beautiful girl he is too shy to have a talk. He and Johnny sent Cherry and her friend on way home. So that’s cause the following things. If they do not go together, Bob will not fought with Socs, and the Bob will not be killed Johnny and Ponyboy. And also Pony and Johnny did not have to run away. -
5 Johnny and Ponyboy run away from their hometown.
They are afraid of this because they do not have enough equanimity. Before they ran away, they went to find Dally to ask for a help. Dally let them go and give them money and a gun, and then he told them to the Jay Mountain. At there, they can find an abandoned church. He told them have a new identity. This part give the sorrowful base, hint these people’s destiny. -
6 The church is on fire. Ponyboy, Johnny and Dally saved the children lives.
This part push the story to a summit, and give a surprise to me, but if have a think, all the plots are fair and reasonable. They went to Jay Mountain, and then they went to the church. After they left, the children arrived at the church. Then the church on fired because Johnny and Pony think they did not extinguish the fire source and cause of guilty. They save the children cause their kind and guilty. Everyone have a warm-heart. -
7 Dally and Johnny was sent to hospital.
Dally wanted to save Johnny，Johnny and Pony wanted to help children. They become heroes although the media know they are murderer, they still can be proud of themselves. I can see the society is advocate kindness and care, just similar as the community that we live in. There are light and darkness, but the light always win the darkness. -
8 Ponyboy can understand how Darry love him.
Pony always think Darry do not like him, but at this time he felt the love from his brother. He know Darry just worried about them will leave like their parents. Darry loves his brothers but is a heavy love. Darry is maturer than others, so his way of getting along is more rational just like the way he love others. That’s teach us the different way of love our family. -
9 Take a bath.
Finally, after the interview about the fire of church, Pony looked at the one who turned and asked tiredly, and only answered. “Take a bath.” I think it is important because it stresses that it had been only a few hours since Pony was sleeping off a smoke in the corner of the church, although that was an unreal dream and yet for Pony. It shows that Pony was completely exhausted and he had only one thing on his mind: Take a bath. Readers also can feel the effects to Pony from the event. -
10.1 Randy wanted to talk with Pony.
After Pony and Johnny saved the children’s lives, Randy wanted to talk with Pony, who read about Pony in the paper. I think it is important because Randy talked with Pony not as a Soc, and he was trying to find the true in his eyes. He found greasers have people not only like Dally but also like Pony, and he changed his mind and prejudice about greasers. Also, he told Pony why Bob did something he had done. -
10.2 Randy wanted to talk with Pony.
Randy explain Bob’s complex personality, which makes Bob look like a real person for readers, and it also makes Pony understand the trouble for the Socs. In this discussion, Randy learned something such as not the whole world hates Socs but he hates the whole world. In that time, Randy was not as a Soc but just a guy, who wanted to talk, so I think it is important to display the complex personalities of Bob and Randy for Pony or readers. -
11.1 Johnny talked with Pony.
After discussion with Randy, Pony went to hospital to visit Johnny, and he told Johnny that Johnny got his name in the paper for being a hero. Then, Johnny asked for a copy of Gone With The Wind, and he also knew that there will be the first big rumble. I think it is important because it shows readers Johnny’s condition was not good, and it hit Pony. Pony felt they could not get along without him, and they needed Johnny. -
12 Dally asked Two-Bit for his black-handled switch.
When Dally knew Johnny seemed pretty bad and passed out cold again, he asked Two-Bit for his fancy black-handled switch. It was Two-Bit’s showpiece, his pride and joy, but Two-Bit handed it over to Dally without a moment’s hesitation. It is important because if Dally needed a blade bad enough to ask for it, well, he needed a blade, and Johnny’s situation push Dally to make decision to win that fight at that night with hard. It shows Dally’s eyes were blazing and he was in a mood like that. -
14 The fight between Socs and Greasers.
This fight was at the high tide of the whole story, so it is extraordinary significant for the plot. It brought Dally’s enmity , and Greasers wanted to get even with the Socs for Johnny. It is almost the end of the event, Bob’s death, and at the end of the fight, Pony realized that they should not hate or be hated, so it is important. -
11.2 Johnny talked with Pony.
I think Pony would never forget it because he loves Johnny as much as Johnny does. Johnny did not want to die that time,and Pony deeply understand something such as it wrote that “ Sixteen years on the streets and you can learn and see a lot, but all the wrong things and sights, not the things or sights you want to learn or see. It is not fair but life must be like that. It told Pony developed cognition about that society, and It brought Pony so strong emotion and perception, so it is important. -
13 Sick of fighting.
Pony said that he did not like that fight one bit, and he felt something is gonna happen. Then, he talked with Cherry about the fight, so It is important that Cherry told them the information: Socs will follow the rule in the fight. Pony also knew more about Cherry,who loves sunset too, Bob and Randy, and he developed his understanding of Socs such as Cherry. It also make story go on,and told us no one really want to fight, so it is important. -
15.1 Johnny told Pony to stay gold ,and Dally finally broke.
Pony died, and he told Pony to stay gold, that is important because that is the experience for a sixteen years boy, and he hope Pony can be more fortunate than them. Johnny loves Pony such as they all love Johnny. Then,that is a big hit for Dally, and it shows us even Dally would be gonna blow up and could not take something. -
15.2 Johnny told Pony to stay gold ,and Dally finally broke.
Johnny was the only thing Dally loved, so Dally finally broke and even Dally has a breaking point. It told Pony that sometimes there is nothing humans can do.....for everybody. Dally died because he wanted to die, and that shows Dally’s personality and he is a man, who cannot be without emotion too. For the above reasons, it is important. -
16.1 The essay and the letter came from Johnny.
Pony found a slip of paper fell out of the book, and that is a letter from Johnny. Johnny told Pony that he knew it was worth it to save those children. He wanted Pony to tell Dally to look at the sunset, and he wanted both of Pony and Dally to know that there is still a lot of good in the world. Too late. -
16.2 The essay and the letter came from Johnny.
Pony realized he should do something to help more and more children, and he should tell the world that they are not bad boys or girls. It is important that Pony decided to write that theme to avoid some conditions such as: Boys would be so quick to judge by the amount of hair oil he wore. It made Pony write this story, so it is important.
