About Donna Haraway

Education
Haraway was born in Colorado. Haraway's major studies were Zoology and Philosophy. She attended at Colorado University. Receiving a scholarship from this university. With earning this scholarship; she was able to complete her PhD in Biology at Yale. [1] Her teachings are open for any of these departments of biology, philosophy, and history of science and medicine. -
One of her major works
Donna was described as a feminist in the early 1990's. [1] She was an author of many articles and books. Most of her books were along the lines of science and feminism. One of her major work was "Manifesto for Cyborgs. This article was published in the Socialist Review. In the "Cyborg Manifesto," Haraway argued that women shouldn't create connects based on identity, but instead of how one grows up, and the abilities. This article was basically the development of feminist theory. [1] -
Another major works she published
The book of "Primate Visions" which was base on Gender, Race, and Nature in the World of Modern Science. Which brings us to a new chapter of the feminist theory, She was fighting for women rights and equality among the two gender men and female. -
Second award
Her second award was the prize of Ludwik Fleck for her studies of feminism and technoscience. -
First award
The award was the "J.D. Bernal prize", which was one of the highest of the society for social studies of science. [1] For her "distinguished contributions." Which was stated; after receiving this award. -
