At the Battle of Shiloh, Buell reinforced Grant with about 20,000 men. This helped Grant defeat the confederates. -
Perryville
On October 8, 1862, Buell caught Bragg's force at Perryville, Kentucky. Buell thought this to be a victory. However, this was more of a draw in my opinion. This was largely due to the fact that Buell failed to follow the Confederates. He says this was because of lack of supplies. -

Complaints were made about Buell. This was largely due to his inability to follow orders. -
I Quit!
Buell awaits orders that never arrive. On June 1, 1864, Buell resigns due to lack of volunteers. -
Death
After Buell resigned from the military, he resided in Indiana, and later Kentucky. He was employed in the iron and coal industry. He was buried in St. Louis.
