Periodic Table
Just 5 years after John Newlands put forth is law of octaves, Mendeleev published his periodic table of elements. Mendeleev also arranged the elements known at that time in order of relative atomic mass. -
William Ramsay
William Ramsay discovered some gases though they contradicted Mendeleev's work. -
Death
On February 2nd, 1907, Dmitri Mendeleev got the flu and died in Saint Petersburg, Russia. His students carried a large copy of the periodic table of elements to recognize his work on it. -
