They were born in USA. At the beginning they used to be called Ground operator, they were people who drove tourists from the airport to the hotel and to the airport again, like a shuttle service. The ground operators knew everything about the city, so the tourist asked for a lot of tips and for rides to different places, in an informal way. -

DMC popping up every where, it was also called the Coming Age -
The consolidation
They could go to the same DMC in different destinations: Only the best DMC survived, and they could work in different countries, constructing their reputation. -
Financial crisis
With this event a lot of DMC disappeared, it was a crisis in USA but affected the whole world. -
Globalization
Nowadays, the DMCs can help you with any request you have for them. They created a union of various of them, and this was very helpful because there are DMCs all over the world.
