    Believed to be brought from the New World to Old World from crew of Christopher Colombus.
    There is a lot of controversy about how syphilis spread. Many believe it was already a disease that existed in Europe. Others believe it was brought back from the New World.

    Hepatitis

    Brought to Old World from New World from Columbus's crew.
    Affected and killed many Natives who were new to the disease and didn't have the immune to fight it.

    Brought to New World from Old World through humans and/or animals

    Smallpox

    Brought to New World through European carriers. Killed many in Hispaniola. Only about 10,000 were still alive after that.
  • Yellow Fever

    Brought from the Atlantic Slave Trade to New World from Africans slaves. Slaves were immune to them, but Native Americans were not.
