  • Discovery of Australia by Captain Cook

    The Southern land had intrigued philosophers, map-makers and explorers from all around, since it was first guessed, by the Ancient Greeks and Romans, however, everyone was pretty much obsessed with discovering the land below the equator so much so that, On the 22nd August 1770 navigator and astonimor Captain James Cook claimed the whole of east coast of Australia naming eastern Australia NSW. ( New South Wales.)

    Australia formed a settlement/colony by a group of people who wanted to take charge and be in control. You may be wandering why Captain cook gets all the credit? Well, this is why. Although, Captain Cook wasn't the first person to plant his feet on Australian soil his voyages led to the colonization of the British.

Slavery is an economic system , some people would work for no pay and if slaves tried to escape they would use chains and handcuffs so they wouldn't escape again or at all.

    Italy actually used to be many smaller states until over time (between 1815-1871) They become one big country. Italian unification was a historical process by the kingdom Sainia conquered the peninsula.

  • San Francisco damaged by severe earthquake.

    On 18 April 1906 at 5:12am in San Francisco was damaged by a one of the most deadliest and most destructive earthquakes in history. This devastating earthquake was followed by a severe storm. After, this terrifying and destructing natural disaster many people were evacuated as well as sadly a lot of people who also lost there lives.

    This particular earthquake happened on April 18th 1906 and sits as one of the most destructive and worst earthquakes of all time.It's importance comes more from the wealth of the scientific knowledge. The earthquake was followed by a terrorising storm and still remains one of the most devastating natural disasters in history.

    The suffragettes believed in a peaceful protest they believed that if they protest physical it would make men believe that they couldn't be trusted. However, after ages of waiting they grew angry and stubborn and started to fight harder. The first country to ever grant the suffrage and all women rights was Britain.

    The Titanic was launched on 31 May 1911 and sadly it sunk on the 15 April 1912 with roughly 1,503 passengers losing their lives. The Titanic was almost 3 football ovals long and roughly the height of a 17 story building.

    The titanic had 90 crew members, and a crowd of about 100,000 members. The Titanic was launched 31st May 1911. When the Titanic sunk approximately 1500 people lost their lives.
  • Japan surrenders

    In the summer of 1945 the defeat of Japan was at conclusion. The Japanese Navy and Air-force was destroyed. After Germany surrendered in 1945 all the attention and focus turned to Japan.

    After Germany surrendered in 1945 focus turned to Japan. The naval blockade of the Japanese and intensive bombing left the cities and country and economy devastated.
