Battle of Lexington & Concord
The battles of Lexington and Concord were important because it was the official turning point of the colonists, and signified that the Americans wanted independence and revolted from the British. Soldiers fought in Lexington to create space for two of their patriots, Paul Revere and Samuel Adams. They were on the run because they were wanted, and headed to concord by horse to inform to the people that the british were coming. They were warned from the two, and the warning bell rang. -

In both skirmishes together, the colonists had a total of forty-nine killed, thirty-nine wounded, and five missing. What led up to these two small battles were how the british were treating the colonists overall, with things like sending soldiers out and passing acts to tax the colonists as well. -

Battle of Bunker Hill
The battle of bunker hill took place in 1775, and on the confederate side William Howe leaded them. They had at least two charges in the battle. Even though it was a british victory, there were fewer casualties of the confederate soldiers. The confederates lost General Joseph Warren and Major Andrew McClary. -
Battle of Trenton
Unlike the other battles, this was finally a decisive American victory to change energy. Led by general and future president George Washington, who crossed the Delaware river and planned a surprise attack on the morning of December 26th. This was a big part for the confederate soldiers, because it gave them the courage and much belief. -
Battle of Fort Ticonderoga
The colonists invaded and captured Fort Ticonderoga on May 10th, 1775. The militia was called the Green Mountain Boys, led by Ethan Allen. They seized and rescued over 100 people and Boston, as well helped give the british a sense of urgency. -
Battle of Saratoga
The battle of Saratoga was fought in the county of Saratoga, New York. It was a decisive American victory, and had French join in because of how close it was to their borders, and worked together to defeat the British. ON the confederate side, it was commanded by multiple men, like Benedict Arnold. This was a turning point in the Revolutionary War due that it was a huge American victory. -
Battle of Yorktown
This battle was significant because it was the official end of the war after Cornwallis surrendered in Yorktown. The French played a big role as the helped and guided the Americans to independence. Lord Cornwallis was also the lead commander for the British military. -
