Battle of Lexington and Concord
In the first battle of the American Revolution, British forces hoped to capture Sam Adams and John Hancock, both American patriots. They were unsuccessful due to Paul Revere's warning of the British coming. 90 colonist soldiers died, but compared to the 250 Red Coats that died, it was a victory. A victory that gave them justification for starting the war over all the taxes that were causing problems for them.
