The Dights Falls weir is built -

The Dight Family make a steam powered mill. -
November 1843
In November 1843, ownership of the land passed to John Dight and his brother Charles Hilton Dight. -
1864
In 1864, the flour milling use was abandoned and the mill leased to Thomas Kenny. -
1878
The Dights Family sells the mill to Edward Trennery. -
1909
The mill changed owners before being burned down by a fire. -
1918
The weir was rebuilt due to the fire -
1940
The weir was rebuilt once again with rocks. -
1967
The Dights Falls weir was rebuilt once again due to the floods. -
1993
A fishway was built, but it ended up being a massive fail, as it killed many native fish. -
2012
A new and improved fishway was built, it was a massive success.
