Expulsion
In 1902 Rivera was expelled from the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts for leading a student protest when Porfirio Díaz (1830–1915) was reelected president of Mexico. -
Marriage
In 1929 Rivera married the famous artist Frida Kahlo -
