1906: Exhibits 26 works at the annual exhibition of the San Carlos Academy. Diego, with his father's political connections, travels to Veracruz to visit Governor Dehesa, who grants him a scholarship which finances his travels and studies in Europe. *Ignore Dec. 11th.

Spain, Here I Come!

Arrives in Santander, Spain aboard the ship, Alfonso XIII, then travels by train to Madrid. Also made the following paintings: Self-Portrait, Night in Avila, The House of Vizcaya.

1933, completed a famous series of twenty-seven fresco panels entitled Detroit Industry on the walls of an inner court at the Detroit Institute of Arts.

1. Begins to paint a mural at Rockefeller Center in New York, that results in suspension of project and complete destruction of unfinished wallpainting. Rivera and Kahlo return to Mexico to new residence in San Angel.
