26 Works Of Art!
1906: Exhibits 26 works at the annual exhibition of the San Carlos Academy. Diego, with his father's political connections, travels to Veracruz to visit Governor Dehesa, who grants him a scholarship which finances his travels and studies in Europe. *Ignore Dec. 11th. -
Spain, Here I Come!
Arrives in Santander, Spain aboard the ship, Alfonso XIII, then travels by train to Madrid. Also made the following paintings: Self-Portrait, Night in Avila, The House of Vizcaya. -
First Comes Art, Then Comes Marriage.
1909: Meets Russian artist Angelina Beloff in Brussels, who later becomes his common-law wife. -
Showing Colors.
Exhibits six of his paintings at the Society of Independent Artists in Paris. Takes one of his paintings, House on the Bridge, off the wall and exhibits it in the Salon de la Societe des Artistes Francais, a juried show. -

Detroit Idustry
1933, completed a famous series of twenty-seven fresco panels entitled Detroit Industry on the walls of an inner court at the Detroit Institute of Arts. -
"Man at The CrossRoads"
- Begins to paint a mural at Rockefeller Center in New York, that results in suspension of project and complete destruction of unfinished wallpainting. Rivera and Kahlo return to Mexico to new residence in San Angel.
