Hitler rescues Mussolini
After Hitler gets news that Mussolini has been arrested, and Italy accepts the terms of secret peace talks with the Allies, Hitler sends forces into Italy, resulting in two Italian nations, one in control of the Germans. Mussolini, was rescued by Hitler’s forces, and brought to German-occupied northern Italy, he was appointed as Hitler’s 'puppet leader' of the Italian Social Republic and leading to the extermination of thousands of Italian Jews. -
Japan goes downhill
As the war went on, the many victories Japan had made quickly became losses, and it's military and economy suffered. Hideki was eventually forced from power in 1944 -
Allies strike Italy
Allied forces invaded Italy in June 1945, and Mussolini, along with his partner, Claretta Petacci, tries to flee to spain, but was caught and arrested by partisans searching army trucks. Mussolini and Petacci later die of gunshot wounds and are hung in the public to be spat on. -
