  • Battle of Techumseh

    The U.S. wanted more land so to so that they took indian land illegally and the indians were angered by this so they formed a confederacy at a place that was called Prophets town based on the fact that it was set up by Tecumseh and his brother Tenskwatawa also known as The Prophet. The governor of the indiana territory was afraid of the indians because they were getting so strong, so he sent 1,100 troops to attack the indians. Tecumseh was away when they were attacked but his brother was there
  • Invasion of canada

    The U.S. tried to invade Canada the first attempt was on Malden in upper Canada but their attempt completely failed
  • Second invasion of Canada

    General Stephen Van Rensselaer assaulted Queenston Heights however his plans were delayed two days by an officer and all of his paddles going missing. When they did invade they got the high ground but 950 us troops were captured because a group of new york militia men refused to cross the border.
  • Third invasion of Canada

    General Henry Dearborn marched troops to capture montreal but once again militiamen refused to cross the border, then after some minor skirmishes they retreated without ever entering canada
  • Battle of lake Erie

    The U.S. saw six british ships sailing on lake Erie and they engaged in battle but the U.S. ships were at a disadvantage because their weaponry was more powerful than the British however it was only effective at close range, consequently the British pounded the American ships. Then the commander moved to a different ship and then defeated the british in 15 minutes.
  • Napoleon's Defeat at waterloo

    Napoleon defeated the prussians and sent about ⅓ of his force to wipe out the ones that were retreating. Then he went to attack the duke of wellington however in a fatal blunder he waited until midday to attack, then the Prussians arrived then he didn’t realise, preoccupied with the flank by the prussians, that some of his men had captured a farm house and was decimating Wellington’s troops until after over and hour but by that time Wellington had organized his troops and repulsed the french att
  • British attack capital

    The british invaded the capital and burned everything that was connected to the govenment.
  • British attack baltimore

    British sailed up the patapsco river spearheaded by the british army and marines. They pounded Baltimore for days. Then the guns went silent, the american’s had won and Francis Scott Key, wrote a poem to commemorate the victory that would become the national anthem.
  • Battle of new orleans

    75,000 british troops clashed with 45,000 troops led by andrew jackson, who led them to victory in a half hour.
