At age 2, I spoke my first phrase, which was "No no kitty." This was referring to my cat Lucy who enjoyed knocking things over. -
Assimilation or "Elephants"
At age 4, I thought that everything with a face was my dad, so I assimilated that a giant chicken suit that my parents had for some reason was my father. -
Fear of butterflies
When I was 7, I was afraid of butterflies, because I thought that all things that could fly would kill me. I assimilated that butterflies were Pterodactyls and would somehow kill me. -
Stealing
When I was 8, I stole gumballs from the broken gumball machine in Tacos Del Norte, which shows a lack of moral development. -
Authoritative Parenting
When I was 13, my father wouldn't let me go anywhere unless I had all A's and B's in every class, and no attempts at negotiations would change his mind. This is an example of Authoritative parenting. -
Imaginary Audience Phenomenon
When I was at Homecoming during my Freshman year of high school, I was anxious and refused to dance with my friends because I felt like everyone was looking at me and judging me based on my horrible dancing. This is an example of the Imaginary Audience Phenomenon. -
Authoritarian Parenting
When I was 16, my mother would not let me go out past 10 PM, but after doing chores and keeping up good grades, I convinced her to let me out until 11 PM. This is an example of authoritarian parenting because my mother offered support and negotiation while being strict.
