    in the UK, anyone who sells package holidays they have to comply with the Package Regulations 1992. The Regulation were made to protect the customers of tour operators selling package holidays.
    today in the region 15 million package holidays are sold to British tourists each year.

    concord was an extremely fast aeroplane which travelled twice the speed of sound the ranging at march 2004. the concord was introduced in 21st January 1976 the first flight boarded on 21st January 1976 and boarded flight until 24th October 2003. because of the concord people were travelling faster and further then before to countries such as America.
  • Development of Tourism Act 1969

    the pension is a regular payment from government that you get if you reached state pension age, before 6th April 2016. the workplace pension is where a percentage of your is put into a pension scheme automatically every payday and in many cover, the employer pension too. life expectancy in the UK is getting increasing but people are saving less into to their pension. all the employers will have to provide a workplace pension scheme by 2018.
  • Butlins 1960's

    Butlins introduced a monorail to skegness. other features such as chair lifts, a pool with underwater viewing. This made Butlins more advanced with better facilities for families.

    first Motorway M6 was completed. which made it quicker for people to travel arount the country.
  • 1970's lifting of currency restrictions

    before the 1970's the tourists were only allowed to take £50 in starling out of the country per person, this act enabled tourists to take as much money as they like, this lead to an increased in appeal of package holiday.

    the comet was the first passenger carrying Jet airliner and it was built and designed in Britain. according to BBC it revolution air travel and was the pride of the Britain aviation industry for it first year. After the three terrible crashes in March in 195, which proved in inquiry that metal fatigue concentrated at the corner s of the aircraft's window had crashes all the aircraft were redesigned with the rounded windows.

    Teletext allowed you to book the holidays from the comfort of your own home. Ceefax was the world's first Teletext information service. BBC started Teletext in 1974 , Teletext was used to advertise holidays. because of Teletext people were not booking holidays from travel agency they were booking though Teletext because they found this process easier.
