Ptolemaic Theory
This theory stated that all of the other planets and stars all revolved around the earth; The earth was the center of it all. THe difference was that there was something that was the center of it all and not just randomly going somewhere. -

Aristotle's Theory
Stated that all of the objects moved towards their "natural place". The lighter the objects were the faster they moved. -
Newton's Theory
Newton's theory explained (through math) that there was gravity everywhere not just on earth. This differed from past ideas because they thought it was only "available" on earth (gravity). -
Cavendish Theory
Believed the same thing as the Newton Theory, used the math to solve gravity's constant. -
Einstein's Theory
Einstein believed that gravity wasn't a force at all, he thought it was a distortion in the shape of space/time (the 4th demension).
