    The XYZ Affair was the polictical and diplomatic struggle between the United States and France. This later led to the Quasi war which was the undeclared war concerning this dispute. Many heard that french officers were bribed to carry out orders by Americans and vice versa, which caused confusiona and later war. Many did not hear about the war because the battles took place in the Carribean.

    The Convention of 1800 was the traety between the United States and the Republic of France to cease all hostilites between the two during the Quasi War. The Americans and the French wanted the icident to be foegotten due to the craziness which caused it.

    The Louisiana Purchase was the negotiations between Napoleon Bonaparte of France and Thomas Jefferson of the United States concerning the land west of the Union which were controlled by France during that time. The negiation was a win-win on both sides. Jefferson wanted to explore and expand the Union and Napoleon need money to help the cost of the war between France and other countries like Great Britain, Kingdom of Sardinia, Batavia Republic, and many more.

    The Embargo Act was the violations of nuetriality by the US by European navies especially Great Britain. The Napoleonic wars were raging on and some of the nations fighting Napoleon needed more resources so as an excuse of military contrband US merchants were robed of the cargo.

    The War of 1812 or also known as the second war of Indpendence was the war declared by the United States upon Great Britain, and its colonies. Reasons why the US declared were the impressment of American merchant sailors into the Royal Navy, British support of anti-expansion against the United States and many more. The war of 1812 ended in 1815 ,but could have been stopped in 1814 ,but because of poor transfer of information lead to the war to carry on. The war ended as a stalemate.

    The Treaty of Ghent was the treaty between the United States and Great Britain. Because of poor transmission of messages between foreign affairs the war did not officially end until later on in 1815

    The Monroe Doctrine was the US policy and statement what made President Monroe and his doctrine famous was when Monroe stated for "Europe to keep their hand off of the Americas" Monroe was basically stating to the rest of the world, during the time of expansion and colonies that the Americas did not need a European country colonizing any part of the Americas.
